About me:

I'm a comedian, actor and writer.

You may know me as 'the other bloke' in That Mitchell and Webb Look, or most likely as Colin the landlord in the 'Old Gregg' episode of The Mighty Boosh, or perhaps even as Harry Biscuit from the trememendous Bleak Expectations.

I was the token man in Population:3, the company that brought you Gladiatrix, The Wicker Woman and The Elephant Woman.

And I'm one half of the occasionally writing and performing double-act Bachman And Evans.

For proper information about me, visit by IMDb page or my website infinitemonkeys.co.uk.

Who I'd like to meet:
I've met most of the people I'd like to meet, and to be honest nothing is really going to beat the evening a few months after I'd left university, sitting down for dinner at the same table as Stephen Fry, Bill Oddie, Clive Anderson, Griff Rhys Jones, and Tony Slattery, and sitting next to me were John Cleese and Douglas Adams.

Dear James and friends,

In 2006 I was forced to retire, following 41 years working for the same company. Most gents in my situation would spend their retirement doing jobs in the garden, going to the pub and moaning about things. I have done that as well but, on top of that, I have tried to get the national press (and Max Clifford) interested in a story about a wasps' nest had my heart broken by Calum Best, failed to break the world press up record, been reassured that there is nothing extraordinary about having four poos in one day and, ultimately, been crowned King of Wetherby (and surrounding areas) and the WBA Heavyweight Champion of the World (both in the same week).

All of this is now detailed in my new website www.hilaryfortnum.co.uk (please do pay a visit) and is also set to be turned into a best-selling autobiography (sales permitting).

Thank you for your kind attention. Please do send an email to hilary@hilaryfortnum.co.uk if you want to join the Hilary Army and receive regular emailed updates.

Myspace appears to be in cahoots with eBay at the moment in a policy of random deletions and being generally very annoying and unhelpful... If my bag was ColdFusion rather than shabby self-taught PHP, I might understand what they were up to!

Also, thank you for the add :)

James and friends,

If you have any care for the divine right of monarchs, or even if you just think that signing petitions can be fun, please follow this link and sign the petition supporting the rightful accession of King Hilary I to the throne of the Kingdom of Wetherby (and surrounding areas).

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/kinghilary/

Further information is contained in my MySpace blog. Or simply request an audience with the King (send me a message)

FOR HOT GIRL ON GIRL ACTION

See the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final on Sunday, or perhaps even kicking out time at Bondi’s Club in Leeds (they can be vicious).

Alternatively, if you are looking to read about monkeys, ways to tackle obesity by removing all living room furniture from fatties’ homes and the question of who would win in a fight between a large goose and a small yappie dog then take a look at my MySpace blog.

Good day.

Hi. I just thought I'd let you know that a radio critic from 'The Times' was being incredibly complimentary about 'Bleak Expectations' on yesterday's 'Serious About Comedy'. You can listen on the BBC7 website. He mentions it at the beginning and the end of the show. The critics on that programme generally hate everyone and everything with a great degree of venom, so I was really happy for you!

Ah, how I'd love to end up sat at a table with John Cleese and Stephen Fry when I leave university. Somehow, I don't think that's going to happen.

You keep popping up in a bunch of my favourite shows; most recently Saxondale. That show is brilliant =]
