currently writting, voicing, animating and starring in Little Howard’s Big Question on BBC1 and CBBC. First series aired jan 2009 series 2 to air summer 2010 and series 3 to air spring 2011.
In 2003 I was the only British Nominee for the Perrier Award for my show The Big Howard Little Howard Show.
In 2001 I was awarded The BBC New Comedy Award for my cartoon Polar Bears In A Snowstorm.
I’m best known for my animated interactive stand-up comedy character Little Howard. We are currently touring two shows around the UK, one for adults, one for children. We have performed in the UK, the US and Australia. We have appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (NBC), The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (ABC, Austrailia) and as a regular on Comedy Cuts (ITV2). And for children we have appeared on The Slammer and Beat The Boss (CBBC). We have performed live in New York, Aspen and Melbourne.
I am also a stand-up comic. As well as the below TV appearances I’ve appeared on The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy Channel, ABC (Austrailia) and BBC America), Four At The Store (Radio 4), 28 Acts (Radio 4 and BBC3) and Out To Lunch(Radio 2).
With my writing partner Chris Chantler I am currently writing a six part comedy series for Radio 4 called Peacefully In Their Sleeps, a series of obituaries of people who didn’t exist. We are also working on a radio pilot called An A-Z of The British Countryside with Josie long.
I’m working on a printed version of my song Sleep You Tight My Darling, an unpleasant lullaby, with The Friday Project, which will be out for christmas 2007.
I also animate my own TV shows. Two Posh Old Men for UKTV co-written with Chris Chantler. In have also animated short films for Ross Noble’s touring shows. My latest project is called Stairlift To Heaven it is an animated Pilot which I animated, directed and co-wrote (with Chris Chantler) which will be broadcast at 5pm on Friday 23rd of March on BBC1. It’s about a nine year old boy who, due to a terrible administrative error, is put in an old people’s home. It stars the voices of Richard Briers, Una Stubbs, Mona Hammond, Rik Mayall and Mark Gattis. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done, watch it, or I’ll pull your arms off and use them as oars to row all your possessions away when it rains (hard).
