    After getting turned on to Mikey's in Poway in 99, and listening to the likes of D R Auten, KEV, Berkley Hart, Dave Howard, Lee Tyler Post, Frank Williamson, Peter Bolland, and way too many to mention, I took up the guitar again in 2000!! A friend of mine, Tim Hendrick talked me into joining him on some stuff, we collaborated, and started nervously playing out at Hot Java Cafe. Tim was in and out of music, and during one of his outs, I decided to forge ahead and play mostly solo, doing ballads, covers, etc. on acoustic/electric guitar. Backed up these days most times by Dave Sawyer (musicjammers.com) Spend most of my time hosting open mics, playing open mics and going to open mics and shows and promoting and supporting local musicians and others dedicated to the cause (ListenLocalSD.com and Musicjammers.com). Supporting and servicing Hot Java Cafe, trying to keep the equipment running properly, replacing expendable items like cords, mic stands, mics...... Help cultivate and motivate up and coming artists and singer/songwriters, along with recently trying my hand at songwriting myself with moderate success. And supporting, promoting the best local acoustic acts. Hot Rod Harris plays Martin Acoustics (DC-17E and HD-28) and uses Martin SP's - 13 gauge Hot Rod Harris uses L R Baggs I Beam Pickups and L R Baggs para DI preamp. ..     Goose farts, accompanied by great Cowboy chords articulated by add ons, hammer ons, variations, and other very simple guitar work specifically made to sound complex!! Use of guitar club (capo) extensively to get the three chords I know into the right vocal pitch.
