HENECE biography Henece has been considered one of the most creative and artistic lyricists in his area. Infecting the minds of locals and supporters with his ability to capture his thoughts and emotions, and express them through the art of music. With a writing skill in both genres of hip hop and metal, he is destined to become one of the most successful artists of his time! Henece was born “Henry A. Sumaya jr.” in Hanford California, USA, on December 18th, 1981. He was raised in a small near by town called Armona, where he discovered new mild experiences with music, sex, drinking, and marijuana at the curious young age of twelve. With his older brother being a major rap fanatic and always being in some kind of trouble during hard times, Henece was influenced by one of the most inspiring people to ever be apart of his life, Gilbert Maldonado. Of course, his parents had a major influence on him as well. With their constant alcoholism and confrontations, leading to dishonor, infidelity and child abuse. He grew to learn what he never wanted to become... Them. They also had a love for music which allowed him to learn and discover different genres. For example, his father was into blues, classic rock, and spanish. While his mother was into oldies, classic country, classic rock and spanish. So, throughout good and bad times, Henece always had MUSIC. One of the hardest memories that he still lives with today, is the death of his sister. She was shot and killed in her own home at the age of 19. Henece was only 13 at the time, and couldn't help but repress his emotions. He was barely starting to write song lyrics and poetry, so these repressed emotions were transposed into thoughts and creative writing. Thus, planting a seed that grew into the prodigy he is today. Throughout high school Henece constantly became more serious about his music. Writing his thoughts and new experiences of life in rap formation. He also developed a craving hunger for rock and heavy metal. Which led to the creation of his first band “CONTACT”. This spawned a new way of writing for him. With drums, fast and chunky distorted guitar, and deep chunk bass, his lyrics became more poetic and aggressive then just rhyming to a rap beat. During the time of his band, he was also going through problems with his high school girlfriend. With a kid on the way during his senior year, life was starting to get pretty realistic and complicated. The fact that she was a "party girl" and loved drugs, didn't really help too many situations. Thats when his hatred for the concept of a commited relationship really started to give birth. After graduating high school as a new dad, he found that he was able to maintain his music with the help of his mother and sister. While working two part time jobs at a time, he was still able to manage band practice and recording time for his rap. With the purchase of his first and only 8 track digital recording studio, he was able to create his first independent rap album entitled "CAUTION". At the same time, putting his live performance with his band first. By this time his bands' name was “WASTEOID”. Doing live shows at bars and other venues, gave him the opportunity to open up and release all of his demons trapped inside. He became addicted to the metal scene and realized he couldn't live without his music. In December of 2001, Heneces' first and only daughter was born. This put a hold on music for awhile but did not distort his vision. Leaving the mother of his kids for her drug habbit and infidelity, gave him a chance to get serious about his music again. Eventually his kids moved in with him and his sister but he was still able to handle business and make his music with the help of his family. Though continuing to record his rap/hip hop at home, Henece did not care for the local rap scene. His main focus was on his metal band, now called “OMERTA”. Now stronger than ever. They continued to perform live at bars, battles, wherever they could just to be heard. They made it all the way to L.A. and played at “The Whiskey A Go-Go” on sunset blvd. Soon after that they broke up and stopped performing. That's when Henece realized it was time to go full force with his rap/hip hop skills. Henece is once again known for his versatile and creative writing skill, as well as his performing appearance. With a solo album on the way entitled "The Good, The Bad, & Da Slummy, he is now ready to face the world outside of his local entrapment. Still craving and baring that vigorous hunger for the art of music, nothing shall get in the way of his path to success!
