***FUTURE NEWS***

we have a split cd single coming out on i blame the parents records on monday september 13th 2010. this will be split definitives 001, the first (obviously) of their series of limited edition (200) cd singles featuring two tracks each from two bands. ours will be shared with our amazing friends joy of sex and will feature the songs "bob grainger: sexual pervert" and "y-chromosome" as recorded by max from the aforementioned pop group joy of sex. there will be a launch party (of course) on tuesday the 14th of september 2010.

new track "gorsedd" written and recorded a few months back for the national museum wales "ymateb/respond" project available to download for FREE from http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/en/music09/respond/gindrinker/ along with information about the project and the background to the song and the project.
also available are songs from little my, silence at sea, circa regna tonat and many others. coming soon (oct 22nd) is a track from the victorian english gentlemans club.

El-Ton, recorded for the free cd given away with octobers edition of Plan B magazine in association with the 1st Swn Festival, is now available on here. in fact, if yr speakers and ears are on you are probably listening to it right now.

*** EXCITING NEWS ***

"This Town Aint Big Enough For The 22 Of Us" compilation cd featuring 22 of cardiff's bands/groups/musicians was released on the 27/11/2006 on the twisted by design label. this will be gindrinker's 1st official release as "hey! greengrocer" is on there, along with the likes of little my, the loves, attack + defend, los campesinos!, last partisan, kutosis, the wave pictures, silence at sea, hornby pylons, threatmantics, etc etc.
the cd will be initialy only be avaliable from spiller's records and by mail order from twistedbydesign.co.uk and costs a mere £5 (+£1.22 p&p in the uk from the website).
so, yeah, support the scene innit? please buy it. thanks.

in theoretical existence since feb 2004 (in actuallity since dec 2004) gindrinker are a cardiff based band featuring Mr D.C. Gates on improvised cornet, bass and vocals and Mr G. McGraf on guitar, drum machine and sampler wrangling.

they have been described as many things by many people, including:

"cardiff's best cult band"
"the liver-swollen bile of The Fall circa 'Hex Enduction Hour'"
"glowering Cardiff publicans"
"caustic and surreal Northern wit"
"cheap drum machine beats and wincingly literal bass rhythms, plus a bit of improv cornet"
