Biography

"Guys, we a name for you both to put on the poster for the back-room..."

... And so Geek Chic Soundsystem was born, fast becoming Bournemouth clubland's worst-kept secret.

Ian Geek's bootleg and mash-up background combines a passion for 80's synth-pop, a strong ear for a hook and at least one foot on the dancefloor. Lee Geek meanwhile is well-deserving of his reputation as Bournemouth’s hardest-working DJ, with his weekly residency at the infamous Big In Japan the stuff of legend.

With both behind the decks, the Geeks transform into a dual-headed, party-starting monster. A healthy disregard for genre, a near-encyclopaedic knowledge of dance music in the broadest sense and record collections spanning several decades ensure an eclectic mix of forgotten gems, some unexpected twists, and tunes so upfront you'll be buying them breakfast...
