    Freddie is a London-based jazz trumpeter, composer, arranger and teacher. Originally from Norwich, he recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied with Gerard Presencer, Pat White, Mike Lovatt, Noel Langley, Martin Speake and Tim Garland. Freddie won the 2008 British Jazz Award for Rising Star, the IAJE 2008 award for Outstanding Musicianship, and a Gilles Peterson 2010 World Wide Award for best Maida Vale session and the Future Inns Jazz Award 2010. He plays regularly with the John Dankworth Orchestra, the Ronnie Scott's Big Band, Empirical, and the Ronnie Scott's All-Stars, and was recently a featured soloist with the BBC Big Band on Radio 2. He has performed with many of the worlds biggest jazz and pop stars, including John Hendricks, Will Young, Friendly Fires, Sharleen Spiteri, Floating Points, Daniel Beddinglfield, Marti Pellow, Andrea Corr, Noah and the Whale, Mick Hucknall, Curtis Stigers, Jon Faddis, Joe Locke, Peter Erskine, Kenny Wheeler, and Georgie Fame. Freddie appears around London with many jazz groups, including the Laurence Cottle Big Band, the London Jazz Orchestra, the Andy Panayi Big Band, Tom Cawley Quartet, Huw White's Neon Bedroom, Calum Gourlay Quintet, and Symbiosis. He also leads his own quartet, featuring Kit Downes (piano), Calum Gourlay (bass) and James Maddren (drums) and his own big band, a joint project with Calum.
