"Dear God, Allah or Jimi, hurry up and make this excellent band as famous as they deserve to be so that I can tell everybody that I knew them once". Thus spoketh the local Dorset music press about Weymouth's Freak Circus..... The Freaks have established a fervent following on the back of high energy performances, the like seldom seen in seaside resorts! And with a frontman described as the weird love child of Iggy Pop and Jarvis Cocker. They also wear fantastic trousers!.... Their debut 'Custardy Battle' CD and follow up "Porcelain Girl" received positive press, with the Dorset Echo describing the songs as "robustly melodic originals - twisted pop gems - real live punk rock for the new millennium", and the CD as "profoundly enjoyable". .... It continued "straight from the first track, Post Mortem, it's like being present at a punk/new wave masterclass: Buzzcocks accessibility married to the guitar sound of early Wire, topped off with the surf n'scurf aesthetic of The Ramones, performed with the intensity and intelligence of Pavement or The Cooper Temple Clause”. .... .......... Music fanzine Miuzik noted that "its fuzzed out pop-punk melodies are so catchy that they are guaranteed to have you singing along in the shower". The CD also led them to an exciting live TV performance on the "Men and Motors" channel..... In 2007 they signed to Pink Hedgehog Records (home to Hamfatter, of “Dragons Den” fame) for the release of their 13 track “Freak Shall Inherit the Earth” album. This has received airplay on both Radio Solent and BBC Bristol, and described by Fuse magazine as “a freaked-out fuzzbox of delights that'll sit well with your BRMC and Pavement records very well indeed. Love it to bits”. .... Their “How to Laugh” track was profiled on Radio Solent’s “Live Lounge” review, and received much applause by Production and Promotion Co-ordinator Trevor Maddison, Music broadcaster and producer Paul Mex, and Seven Webster of 7pm Management..... .......... Freak Circus are very much a band on the rise, with demand and interest increasing from gig to gig. They are building a steady dedicated following across the South of England, and have also played high profile gigs at Liverpool's Cavern Club and Pub, together with local music fesitivals, and have performed on the same bill as rising stars The Mexicolas and Hamfatter. .... Returning again to the local press, "Best of all, Freak Circus can boast a wry, dark sense of humour - a commodity which is in sadly short supply on the pop music front these days, as the majority of current artistes have a regrettable tendency to disappear up their own precious bottoms, which is frankly where many of them belong". .... So roll up, roll up - The Freak Circus is coming to town!!.... .......... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... .......... ....

Jim 'Moonface' Eyre - Bass.... .......... Here is a video that my good friend Simon Moss made for our track Post Mortem. The track didn't end up on Freak Shall Inherit the Earth (although I have heard that it somehow managed to get onto an unofficial Sum41 DVD - and we never received a penny grrrrrrrrr)..... Anyway, Simon made some weird references to UK family entertainer Les Dennis within the video, but hopefully that won't detract from your entertainment!.... ..FREAK CIRCUS - "POST MORTEM"...... .. .. .. .. ..
