Steeped in the classic Soul of legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin and CeCe Winans and influenced by the modern R&B sounds of Alicia Keys, with ‘What is Love?’ Emem looks set to be 2011’s most hotly-tipped Gospel cross-over artist and her mini album heralds the arrival on the British black music scene of a special new talent.
