Bio:

Well here I am on myspace to put the word out for my session playing- calling all bands, composers, producers and fellow musicians! I have been touring, recording and composing for a fair few years now and love nothing more than getting in the studio and putting some lush strings down on a track. I played in a signed band for seven years and toured all over the UK and US from shit-hole dive bars to big festival gigs in front of thousands. My session playing has had me on Top of the Pops, The Chart Show, The National Lottery, good old Richard n Judy and even the Albert Hall with Westlife!!(my cheesiest pop moment to date) I am currently adding strings to the album of super-cool Dutch diva Caro Emerald's album. The last few months I have been working on an album project with an incredible LA band 'The 88'. I also spent a great week at Realworld studios working with another US artist Gavin Mikhail on his new album. In Brighton I have been adding strings to the new "sideshow" project of the fantastic Ninjatunes artist, Fink. Other recent sessions have included The Stereo MC's, The Wolfmen, DJ Format, Rubylux, ChungKing, Heavy Guage and Mummer. Last year I teamed up with hot US producer Jason Nevins to arrange and play strings on his remix of Kelly Clarkson's 'Never Again'. I am based in Brighton but also work regularly in London. If you are further afield I run Logic at home can work via the internet. I am happy working in all styles, from bluegrass to hip hop so please feel free to contact me if you have a recording project on the go that needs bringing to life with some strings. When I am not doing this I am busy with my song-writing partner, Phillipa and our project- 'Chicks With Hits' On my nights off I will be drinking some wine and playing ukulele in 'The Ukes of Hazzard'......coming to a party near you! .. Just me- but I know a good cellist! December '09 I recorded strings for the upcoming Caro Emerald album. Awesome stuff!

Influences:

Someone played me Bob Dylan's 'Desire' album when I was 17 and from then on I wanted to give up on orchestras and get into bands and studios. I love everything violiny from the lush string arrangements on things like Zero7, Sigur Ros and 'Frozen' by Madonna to the shit-kickin fiddle on 'Hot Club of Cowtown' and the passionate tango slant of 'Gotan Project'...
