English band, "8 Month Malfunction" is the new project of Singer/Songwriter Ian Husbands (fREAK-1-C). 2005 saw Ian's life crumble before him with the loss of his fiancee, flat, 2 jobs and the final demise of fREAK-1-C. All that he seemed to have left was his guitar and Apple iBook, with which he travelled up and down England, writing songs wherever he found himself, from Devon to Yorkshire... But from these songs appeared a light at the end of what seemed a very long tunnel, as Producer Jo Webb and Electric Horse Songs Ltd. started taking an interest in the music that Ian had been writing. From there, life started to pick up and Ian spent days recording and finally signed a 3 song publishing deal with Electric Horse Songs Ltd.
That 3 song publishing deal has now formed the basis of 8 Month Malfunction's debut single 'Mourn' being released on August 21st '06 as a download through iTunes, Napster, Yahoo, Sony and many more sites, and the promo CDs being sent out to reviewers and radio stations are being well received. TotalRock.com and DeltaRadio.co.uk have already had the band live on air for interviews and live session and more and more people are joining the 'malfunction' daily...
