"MANY HANDS, MANY VOICES" Released 30-08-2010 Through Tunecore on iTunes and other major download sites INDEPENDENT MUSIC FOR CHILDREN’S INDEPENDENCE! HOW CAN I HELP? • MEMBERS • DOWNLOADS • MERCHANDISE • SPONSORS “Many Hands Many Voices” is the debut single from The Global Conspiracy Project, a group of over 40 independent musicians, designers, artists, animators, translators and film makers from 19 Countries Worldwide, all of which are members here at iCompositions.com. With 30 musicians in total playing and singing on the song, and other members contributing towards the running of websites, videos, logo designs, artwork, radio ads and much more, The Global Conspiracy Project is a truly collaborative effort that spans the five main habitable continents of Earth. The journey started back in September of 2009 in London, England, with the idea to write and record a charity single with a global internet band formed from the members of iCompositions.com. The charity SOS Children’s Villages was decided upon, for their care of orphaned children in 124 countries across the planet, as well as their more current work in disaster struck areas such as Haiti and Chile. A song was started in Garageband which would go on to become “Many Hands Many Voices” as it can be heard today and a band was hand picked from the 90,000+ members of iCompositions.com, finding musicians not only for their musical ability and instruments played, but also by their locations in the world, making sure that Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Africa would all be represented in the final version. “Many Hands Many Voices” started it colossal journey across the world, making stops in England, France, Germany, Holland, Australia, New Zealand, America, Argentina, India, Japan, China, Indonesia and South Africa, with each musician writing and recording their parts on their home computers from the comfort of their own living rooms, bedrooms and home studios. As the project grew and ideas on how to promote the song were created, more countries were added to the growing list, including Canada, Portugal, Norway, Italy, Denmark and Algeria. With so many miles separating all the members of the project, communications have been possible largely through the internet using Skype, DropBox, MobileMe, SendThisFile.com, iChat, E-mail, iCompositions own chat and messaging services, with even the good old fashioned method of snail mail, all being employed to help tie all the pieces together. iCWeekly.net, a collective of webcaster’s, has also been very helpful in getting the message out, along with social networking sites including Facebook, Myspace, Youtube and Twitter. The single “Many Hands Many Voices” is now finished, with the whole track being compiled and arranged in London and the final mix and mastering being done in New York, America by Tom Chianti (Alanatomic) who has worked with many well known artists in the past including Lisa “left-eye” Lopez (TLC) and Buster Rhymes. The video, a compilation of the project members playing along to their parts, supporters videos and clips from SOS Children’s Villages footage is now in production in Australia by Gerald Grech (iGarn) and will also be available for purchase along with the single itself. The project has gained sponsorship from key sponsors including Peavey, Sweet Water Sounds, G-Force Software, Carrera Drums, Imprint Promotions and Pinpoint Print and is running competitions giving away Guitars, Drums, Synth Software, T-shirts and caps. It has also gained the endorsement of British Jazz Musician/Actor/Author Leee Johns and hopes to gain more celebrity endorsements in the coming months. The project is now starting the drive to promote the single before its release date of 30th August 2010 on iTunes and other major download sites. The Global Conspiracy Project really is a testament to the power of music to bridge the gap in cultural, political, religious and physical differences and a testament to modern technology and how it has made the world we live in today smaller than it has ever been.
