Band Members	Simon Williams musician/producer/remixer/d.j and film maker. He plays Sitar/Kora/Guitar/Keyboards/Saz and percussion.Interested in fusing tribal/ethnic songs and instruments with state of the art modern digital music technology.Founder member of Earthdance/Mandragora/Resin8/Mandala/Dj Spice Cadet and sometime guitarist with Doctor and the Medics. Phil Thornton musician/producer/composer and film maker. playing guitar/saz/Aud/recorders/didgeridu etc. He is however best known for his innovative pioneering work with synthesizers. checkout Phils website - phil thornton.com Musa Mboob master drummer from The Gambia. He plays Sabars ,Tama , Djembe and sings and is hugely popular in West Africa and Europe. we have been working with Musa on several new songs in the Gambia and here in Brighton. we first met Musa when gigging with the band Mandragora and later recorded his album 'Takka Gi' The track Gambience on 'Buddha Experience features Musa and our collaberations include; remixing the Bushmen of the Kalahari/Travelling to Gambia and setting up a community recording studio/ recording the traditional griot and tribal musicians of The Gambia[Recordings available on British Library Sound Archive website]/Forming the Joko Band [connected] 7 piece African group with the members of Ifang Bundi/ gigging together in the U.K and The Gambia/ Recording the fusion band Boka Halat C.D 'Tides' as well as numerous jams,sessions and impromptu performances. About earthdance

We are a new group of musicians/film makers and producers specialising in world/dance and chillout music. Formed in 2002 by Simon Willams and Phil Thornton, Earthdance is all about working with musicians and artists from all over the globe to create a unique blend of music with an infinate range of sounds and possibilities. Having already travelled/worked and performed with musicians from a wide range of countries including Ukraine/Gambia/Israel/Brazil/Egypt and India. Earthdance are planning more collaborations, travels, festivals and concerts for 2007/8.

We exist both as a live act and as a music and film/production company.The first Earthdance release was the 150,000 selling 'Buddha Experience' collection released in 2003. A new album and live show are currently being worked on for a May 2007 release. all about celebrating the diverse culture of the globe and expanding the boundaries of world music. By working with musicians from all over the world and mixing traditional instruments and tribal songs with cutting edge digital music technology our aim is to explore what makes the Earth dance and create an exciting new sound that evolves as we take the mobile studio to an ever changing cast of musicians and artists.
