  • Bio

.. .. My name is Marc Wallace, I was born in Jamaica, grew up in the U.K. I am a Poet/mc/rapper/singer/songwriter/producer/record company/label/manager, I started Mc-ing to Drum & Bass and Jungle when I was 18. At that time I was known as Mc Dredd. Two years later I changed my name to Dreddmarc. In 1998 I signed to my brother's (Head Top) label named /One Lock Publishing. Head Top specializes in Dancehall style ragga singing. I started learning to sing dancehall style, me and my brother done an album back in 2001, but we could not get any air play because we did not have permission to sing our lyrics over Jay Z or Dr Dre's Instrumentals. .... To be able to get airplay we needed to own the rights to use the material. We found someone to produce us original music tracks for our lyrics, but in my opinion the producer was full of S**t and he messed up the music so much it made me sound rubbish and out of time with the beat. That album was a big flop, it was so F**kin S**t, I could not bear to listen to it more than 10seconds. Sometimes people try to get in the way of your progrees because thay see that you have something special, and it makes them jealous, so thay try to mess it up for you, while elevating their career off of your talent. "If you want something done properly, do it yourself" is what Mum used to say. So I started a music business performance & production course at Redbridge College. Now I make my own beats from scratch, it's a good feeling to be in full control of my music production & mastering. Now I like the way I am sounding..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .... .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .... .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .......... ............ .......... .......... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
