Bio
Double Yellow is the pseudonym by which Dave Lilley writes music. The story began whilst Dave was promoting funk, hiphop and general tuntablism in his hometown of Manchester. At one of his underground "Beat Route" nights, Tru Thoughts' TM Juke suggested that Dave check out a new signing on the TT books going by the name of Diesler. Well Dave was on the lookout for a new resident DJ at The Beat Route and the young Mr Diesler fitted the bill very well (especially as he was from down the road in Lancashire)! As well as feedin' funk to the faithful at The Attic on Oxford Rd, the pair began collaborations that would see many Double Yellow guest spots on Diesler's albums to date, such as 'Diggin it Something Rotten', 'Keepie Uppies', 'The Rhythm Station' and 'Tie Breakers' for some of Europe's finest funk & soul imprints. Double Yellow's long awaited debut has now been laid and is about to hatch... -
