BK bassist Owen's debut solo record comes out today!
Out on Kill Rock Stars in the U.S. and Fierce Panda in Europe, Gospel Music's "duettes" EP is available digitally on iTunes and other online stores, and on 10" vinyl in record shops in Europe and online.
As the title suggests, the EP features Owen singing his duets with the luminaries pictured above — left to right, that's Tracyanne from Camera Obscura, Shirley from The Magnetic Fields, [Owen himself,] French artist SoKo, Darren from Hefner, and Cassie from Vivian Girls.
Bonus: Black Kids' Kevin plays drums on the record AND designed the artwork.
As you may have heard, our bass player Owen has a solo record coming out, and we love it! He calls himself Gospel Music ("Owen" was taken), and the EP, "duettes," out on Fierce Panda on Nov. 29, features guest singers from the likes of Camera Obscura, the Magnetic Fields and Vivian Girls. Here's the video for lead single "Automobile," which was shot in and around our hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Enjoy!
