About me:
My name is pronouned KAY-ith, because everyone asks. A proud native New Englander, I am currently a Northern California-based multi-instrumentalist. I am busy writing music for my dark metal/medieval folk project Threefires ( www.myspace.com/threefiresofficial) and most recently I have become the bassist for one of my favorite groups in the world, the gothic tribal folk metal band Pandemonaeon (www.myspace.com/pandemonaeon).My two passions are heavy metal and medieval music. Whether savage or serene, my favorite audiophoric landscapes are dark, dramatic and intense. If any of the artists listed under my music section resonate with you, write to me... particularly if you're a practitioner of the dying art of conversation. I'm interested in meeting people with similar musical tastes for the purposes of discussion and going to shows.
I am also looking for local musicians with whom to form a dark acoustic ensemble for playing local clubs and wineries. If you are a vocalist or instrumentalist with a similar vision and living in the California foothills region... this is where to find me.
I am now evidently a METAL JOURNALIST (it must be my very competitive rate): To read the bio I wrote for Meliah Rage's web site CLICK HERE and scroll down to "The Meliah Rage Story" for a dose of American metal history. Give their songs a listen while you're there; you won't be disappointed.
PLEASE NOTE:
I am not interested in collecting as many Myspace friends as possible just to adorn my profile like trophies. My wish is to interact with creative, intelligent and DARK-minded people.
If you send me an Add request please include a note that demonstrates you've read at least some of my profile.
If you're a band and I like your music I'll be glad to add you but a personal note with your request will take you much farther with me than a generic mass mailing.
..........................Who I'd like to meet:
People who either share or balance my insanity: artists, musicians and misfits inspired by anger, melancholy, lust, nature, depression, injustice, irony, humor, satire, wonder, etc.; Nemesis; Cernunnos; Michael Laird; Vali Myers; Hieronymus Bosch; Alan Watts; Tuomas Holopainen; Hildegard Von Bingen; Salvador Dali; Joan of Arc; Vibeke "Death is Magic" Stene; Gaahl; Rosie Smith; John Coughlin; Monika Pedersen; Bruce Dickinson; Morten Veland; Edvard Munch; Vlad Tepes; Edgar Allen Poe; Neil Peart; Rembrandt; the Serpent in the Garden of Eden, my ancestors.Intense music based on Norse wisdom and spirituality...
Pardon the cliché but this is "hauntingly beautiful".
American black metal is alive and well!
If my soul were a video this would be it.
Beautifully macabre (especially the very ending): This concert video has been blowing me away for years. I thought Tristania (with Vibeke) should have covered this song.
"I Crave For You" by Of The Wand And The Moon.
