Bio
Welcome to a musical impression on the adventurous entertainment one finds under water. ‘A Dutch View On Fish' is an new project by flutist Mark Alban Lotz: a multi-media performance within a combination of live video with live music: Lotz Of Music versus VJ Soundshadow. Several Dutch Composers wrote a fish track for 'A Dutch View On Fish': Stefan Kruger, Ernst Reijseger, Michael Moore, Steven Kamperman, Tjitze Vogel, Alan Laurillard, Arend Niks, Mark Alban Lotz, Albert Van Veenendaal. The Debut CD Bite! features the electrifying sounds of the Brim Bram! Bite! gets a huge amount of airplay (especially in the US) and excellent reviews. -
Members
Mark Alban Lotz (c-, alto-, bass-, pvc contra bass flutes, bansuri, prepared flutes), Jörg Brinkman (cello), Albert Van Veenendaal (piano, prepared piano, samples), Alan Gunga Purves (brim bram, toys, whistles, squeeks, toms, etc etc) In Jungian psychology water represents the unconscious. The fish would symbolisze unconscious urges. -

The magic world under water. Whole project is dedicated to the memory of : Jacques Piccard, Adriaen Coenen, Jacques Cousteau & Hans Hass. -

- Bite! gets a huge amount of airplay (especially in the US) and excellent reviews in it's twelve month existence. This is truly heart-warming and very encouraging as our dear friend cello player Lysander Le Coultre died January 29'th 2009 in Amsterdam. We are terribly shocked by the sudden loss of our vriend. The CD Bite! forms his musical legacy.
- Mark Alban Lotz is an award winning flute player whose sound, imagination and playing has established him as a key player in the European Jazz world.
