When an artist such as 8T2 breaks into the mainstream with his first track featuring the charismatic artist Wong equipped with a video directed by Baby J from the midlands, you know it's time to take note. From a Pakistani heritage 8T2 is ready to change the game in the grime/hip-hop world. 8T2 entered the industry as a songwriter working with Danielle Senior who featured on Shystie's "One Wish" and Neeko's "For my Son". His first song writing session resulted in an appearance from the UK band "Big Brovaz" which showed 8T2 that anything was possible for him in the music industry. 8T2 decided to step into the spotlight in the summer of 2004 and began performing his own songs which resulted in him being approached by the well known Ben Peters who shoots for many big artists on Channel U., this time in order to shoot his first video. The video was put on Channel U and helped 8T2 move forward in the industry and get the chance to work with the many artists doing big things from Channel U. 8T2 began work on his first album "Beauty and the Beats" while studying a degree in English Language and Linguistics combined with English Literature at university. Summer 2006 with his album complete, 8T2, Wong, Lady Lykez, Striver from Nu Brand Flexxx, and Baby J with a host of lovely ladies descended to Brighton Beach to shoot 8T2's first video for his first single. At the end of 2006 the video dropped on the same day as N-Dubz and peaked at number 4 on the Channel U charts. The song was a massive club and radio anthem which also appeared on Wong's album "It'll Stay In Ur Car For A Year." Earlier this year 8T2 dropped his debut album "Beauty and the Beats" and has quickly become one the most bootlegged grime/ UK albums ending up on 1000's of major selling bootleg sites worldwide. Early 2007 also saw the start of the second semester of 8T2's third year at university where he concentrated to academic endeavours, whilst recording new material for his follow up album. Now 8T2 is back with "Say U Luv Me" produced by DJ Ironik arguably one of the U.K's biggest grime DJ and producers. The video features cameos from the Channel U regulars Wong, Aggro, Mz Behaviour and some hot female talent as well as the star himself 8T2. The end of the track sees the switch up to the forthcoming single "Shake it Fast 2007" where a huge video is planned for Channel U this summer. 8T2 is showing how patience and perseverance pays off while chasing a degree; he has held down a promising music career and is compared to the likes of JME. There's a new crop of grime artists coming through and with the allegiances in the likes of Wong, 8T2 is definitely going to be one of the guys making a big noise in 2007. Its going to be a hot summer so look out for 8T2 all over your TV screens with the catchy hook, "Shake It Fast, Shake it Quick!"
